Why I Joined Validic

I saw the bridge that Validic was building between real people and their healthcare providers and knew I wanted to be a part of that. The US healthcare system is hard. It's hard for the consumers, providers, and loved ones helping someone else navigate a health condition. Getting meaningful data to providers shouldn't be such a challenge and should happen way more often than once a year at an annual physical. That was my initial gut feeling, and when I went through the interview process and met the people I would be working with, it really solidified my decision. What was so clear after meeting the team was that they all really cared about what they were doing and believed in it. For me, it was a no-brainer. A mission I could get behind plus a great culture to boot, sign me up!

Proud Moment

During my time at Validic, the product and development process has moved away from the typical, miles-long product roadmap to a more iterative methodology based on Shape Up. It was a major change in how the company thought about what was important for the product, how to define that work, what to prioritize, and how to deliver something meaningful at the end of an 8-week cycle. We've been using this methodology for a couple of years now and have made (and will continue to make) process tweaks along the way. My proud moment is more than just the point in time when we initially transitioned. Those moments come every time someone says how much clearer this methodology is, how it's helped stakeholders have more insight into what's being developed, how it gives everyone in the company more of a voice, how we are able to deliver more often, and the list goes on. I am proud of being a part of an ongoing process that continues to bring value to everyone, from our executive team through to our end users.
